Morongo Band of Mission Indians is seeking a dynamic professional The NAGPRA Coordinator responsible for overseeing repatriation efforts relating to the Federal Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA- 25 U.S.C. §§ 3001-13) and its accompanying
regulations (43 C.F.R. §§ I0.1-.17) as well as relevant State legislation including CalNAGPRA (AB978) and its amendments (i.e., AB275, AB389). They will lead the Morongo NAGPRA committee and must remain engaged during each step of the repatriation process,
always remaining committed to the current repatriation goals of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Furthermore, the NAGPRA Coordinator will strive to present informational reports and documentation that will enable informed decision-making regarding repatriation
efforts for both the Morongo NAGPRA Committee and Morongo Tribal Council.

Description and Duties: the Cultural Resource Survey Program (CRSP; ) of the New York State Museum is seeking seasonal archaeology field technicians for upcoming projects throughout New York State, including survey and site examination investigations. These are temporary positions, with a term date no later than December 31, 2025.? ? Duties include archaeological fieldwork for CRSP projects state-wide (perform reconnaissance survey and site examination and data recovery excavation at archaeological sites to all Cultural Resource Management professional standards; serve as field crew member or as crew chief as assigned; maintain professional field records; ensure proper use of vehicles and equipment; interact with the public). Compensation & Perks: This position is paid on an hourly basis between $22 - $26 per hour, depending on experience and education. Per diem, which is $68 per day for hotel-based projects and $120 per day for camping-based projects, will be provided for all non-local fieldwork. Logan Simpson will provide single-occupancy hotel rooms for all hotel-based projects. For eligible temporary staff members, Logan Simpson provides benefits such as a retention bonus program, a $150 field gear stipend, paid sick leave, and 8 paid holidays, depending upon hours worked, and eligibility for a healthcare program through ACRA (American Cultural Resources Association).? ? Job Description: Mesa Field Services is a small established firm that conducts archaeological inventory projects across the western United States.?? POSITION SUMMARY Mesa Field Services is a small established firm that conducts archaeological inventory projects across the western United States.? We are seeking two Archaeological Field Technicians for temporary full-time work for a large block inventory project southeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico.? Fieldwork is expected to last two months.? We will be conducting 8-day field sessions with a ten-hour work day.? Drive time to and from location is included in hourly rate. Hotel and $ 50 a day per diem included in addition to hourly wage of $27 to $30, based on experience.? A field school and or 12 months of field experience is required.? Must have experience working with and a familiarity with prehistoric and historic artifacts of the Southwest. Employment Requirements Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology and one (1) year of experience in archaeology survey, and/or reporting in New Mexico or adjoining states.??
