ESI provides compensated leave for vacation, personal and sick time as one comprehensive bucket identified as “Paid Time Off” or PTO.??After one (1) year of service, pro re nata (PRN) employees qualify for PTO, accrued in one lump sum annually, based on the

PTO may be taken in 4- or 8-hour increments. A maximum of 8 hours of PTO may be claimed per 24- hour period. PRN employees may claim PTO at any time of year, including during a work leave of absence. Likewise for PRN employees, PTO is always paid at the “straight
time” rate and does not contribute to “hours worked” for the calculation of hours eligible for overtime wages, regardless of when it is recorded in the pay week.??

Accrued, unused PTO for all staff is rolled from one year to the next, up to a maximum of 320 hours’ worth, after which the excess amount is paid out to the employee. All accrued, unused PTO is paid out upon an employee’s departure from the organization.?

Archaeological field technicians for Phase I survey near Knoxville, TN
Project Description and Schedule
UES is hiring multiple field technicians to help conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey near Knoxville, TN. We have project-specific work opportunities that will develop into career-trajectory placement for the right person. This work will begin Monday, November 11 and go until November 15, and potentially lead to additional work opportunities in the region.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this project will be between $23 and $27, commensurate with experience and attitude. UES’ preference is for a field tech local to the Knoxville area and its vicinity but will consider applications from non-local techs. UES will provide single-room accommodation near the project area, along with $60 per diem and will provide daily transport to and from the site. Non-local field techs will be responsible for arranging their travel to and from the project area at the beginning and end of the field session. This opportunity is fast approaching so apply today! Responsibilities
- Conduct shovel testing and pedestrian survey for Phase I Archaeological Surveys under the supervision of a UES field director.
- Identify artifacts and site boundaries.
- Record shovel tests and site forms using UES-provided digital data collection systems.
- Perform cursory artifact analysis (e.g., quantification, attribute analysis, photographs, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to perform manual labor associated with shovel testing, screening, and pedestrian survey in a range of environmental conditions.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Basic proficiency in digital field data collection.
- Basic proficiency in navigation/orienting (using a compass and GPS).
Preferred Qualifications
- A BA in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field is preferred but is not necessary if the applicant has one or more years of experience in CRM.

Position Summary:??Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking?a?part-time?Archaeological Field Technician to assist with Phase I through Phase III archaeological investigations. A Bachelor’s degree in anthropology

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Assist Project and Senior Archaeologists during field work

Assist with archaeological survey, involving the hand-excavation of Shovel Test Pits (STPs) and mechanical backhoe trenching.

Assist with testing and/or data recovery involving controlled unit excavation work

Aid in identifying any pre-contact or historic artifacts encountered during the STPs, backhoe trench, or test unit excavation

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field and have completed an accredited archaeological field school

Prior experience in all phases of archaeological investigation

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g., rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures)

Solid organizational skills, communication skills, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new tasks

Working Conditions
Work is performed in the field 95% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Work is performed within a general office environment 5% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused
by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Archaeological field technicians for Phase I surveys near Atlanta, Montgomery, and orlando
Project Description and Schedule
UES is hiring multiple field technicians to help conduct Phase I Archaeological Surveys across Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. We have project-specific work opportunities that will develop into career-trajectory placement for the right person. This work will begin October 30 and potentially continue through the end of November.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this project will be between $23 and $27, commensurate with experience and attitude. UES’ preference is for a field tech local to the Southeast but will consider applications from non-local techs. For non-local techs, UES will pay for drive time to and from provided accommodation near the project area, along with $60 per diem and will provide daily transport to and from the site. Non-local field techs will be responsible for arranging their travel to and from the project area at the beginning and end of the field session. This opportunity is fast approaching so apply today! Responsibilities
- Conduct shovel testing and pedestrian survey for Phase I Archaeological Surveys under the supervision of a UES field director.
- Identify artifacts and site boundaries.
- Record shovel tests and site forms using UES-provided digital data collection systems.
- Perform cursory artifact analysis (e.g., quantification, attribute analysis, photographs, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to perform manual labor associated with shovel testing, screening, and pedestrian survey in a range of environmental conditions.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Basic proficiency in digital field data collection.
- Basic proficiency in navigation/orienting (using a compass and GPS).
Preferred Qualifications
- A BA in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field is preferred but is not necessary if the applicant has one or more years of experience in CRM.
- 6-12 months previous archaeological experience on Phase I surveys in the Southeast.
- Ability to identify precontact and historic artifacts of the Southeastern US.

NV5 is seeking up to five Temporary Full- time archaeological Field Technicians to work out of our Alpharetta, Georgia office.? This position will primarily be responsible for conducting day-to-day archaeological Data Recovery excavations
on an on-going State-wide Mitigation Contract. Fieldwork at Phase I Survey or Phase II Testing/Assessment level may also be required. This position is considered entry level, and hourly. Hourly roles are intended to be flexible in schedule, and as needed;
