The Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, currently has field crew positions open for a long-term testing project in East Texas, beginning early September. The work schedule will consist of four, ten-day sessions with four days off between sessions. The Center will provide transportation between San Antonio and the Project Area, actual lodging expenses, and $25/ day food allowance.
Qualified applicants must minimally possess a Baccalaureate degree in anthropology or a closely related field and excavation experience. Hourly wages will typically be between $9.00 and $10.25, dependent on qualifications.

TRC has an immediate opening for a Project Archeologist to direct excavation and survey projects in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Qualified candidates must have a graduate degree in Anthropology or a related field with a specialization in Archeology and must be thoroughly experienced in archeological methodologies and tactics. Short-term Phase I survey positions in Columbia, SC
We have one or two openings still to be filled immediately on a series of three Phase I survey projects in and around the Columbia, SC area.
The project begins Monday, August 7 and is expected to be completed around August 24. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30 (half-hour lunch), Friday 7:30-1:30.
The pay is $9/hr, plus $20/day per diem. We are providing motel housing (double occupancy).
