SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking?Cultural Resources Technicians?in our Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana offices (Gulf Coast Region) to assist with cultural resources management work.?SWCA's Gulf Coast region offers a unique work environment and a diversified client-base, including generation/renewables, transportation, water infrastructure, oil and gas, and land development. Your role will be to assist the crew chiefs and field directors on a variety of projects throughout the Gulf Coast and Southeastern US. ? This is at least a 40-hour per week, hourly, temporary, field-based assignment expected to last from October 2024 thru January 2025. The geophysics and remote sensing program at CRA conducts a variety of projects throughout the United States and employs cutting-edge data collection and processing techniques. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Anthropology or Geosciences with a background in anthropological archaeology, and a minimum of 1 year of experience with near-surface geophysical field and processing methods. The candidate will be expected to perform archaeological surveys and excavations and execute archaeo-geophysical surveys involving a range of techniques including but not limited to GPR, magnetometry, EMI, and electrical resistance.
