Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 DOE + full benefits package

About the Role:
We’re seeking a dynamic Cultural Resources Program Manager to lead SummitWest’s Cultural Resources Program. This senior role will drive program growth, oversee projects, and ensure regulatory compliance, while mentoring staff and building strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to grow the Cultural Resources Program
Oversee CR project execution, budgets, and timelines
Lead fieldwork including surveys, excavations, and construction monitoring
Develop mitigation measures and consult with agencies, tribes, and stakeholders
Interface with clients, tribes, regulatory agencies, and contractors
Ensure project compliance with CEQA, NEPA, NHPA Section 106, and other regulations
Collaborate with recruitment on staffing needs and program capacity
Lead QA/QC of data and technical deliverables
Mentor staff and foster interdisciplinary collaboration
Partner with leadership on proposals and client development
Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
Meets Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards
Minimum 10 years CRM experience with 5+ years in program management
Extensive experience managing complex projects and teams
Proficient in CEQA, NEPA, Section 106, and related environmental regulations
Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) preferred
Experience with tribal consultation preferred
Based in California, valid driver’s license required
Ability to travel to project sites and corporate office as needed
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
