Re: rigging
There are different sizes of Loos gauges, be sure to get the one for your size of rigging. I also believe there is a different one for rod vs wire. https://loosco.com/tension-gauges/? Allison Lehman

Re: Ideas for Sailing with a Kayak?
That is where my kayaks or bikes go when crossing the lake. I have seen U shaped holders outside the lifelines. I see these are at Amazon and west Marine. https://a.co/d/9AabVNs Stephanie Arista, S36

Ideas for Sailing with a Kayak?
Does anyone have any good ideas for storing a Kayak on deck while underway? She's a 1989 -S24. We currently keep it roughly amidships at the shrouds, inside the lifelines. See pic. Was thinking of

Here¡¯s one of the links but my box from the Loos gauge has the measurements and you¡¯ll have to verify size of the wire or rod). It¡¯s best to get it close to straight by measuring side to side

Re: Boarding Ladder
Ok, I didn¡¯t go that far. Functionally they are equivalent. If you have the time, tools, and talent, the wood step is likely more satisfying to have and use. Being unretired, I still factor in time

Re: Boarding Ladder
Cheaper but not anywhere near equivalent. The Edson will last and perform as new for a lifetime. And then one can sell it. The hooks themselves are very high quality and about $20 each. Tony Tony

Re: Boarding Ladder
The $20 included wood and line. I had some left over varnish. Took may be an hour to make it not including drying time between varnish coats. As for time, I¡±m at that stage of life where my income

Re: Boarding Ladder
It is only $20 if you have the scrap wood, rope, vinyl strip, tools, varnish equipment and a skilled worker who values their time at $0/hour. Dave wrote: Yikes! $409 for a step? I have a boarding step

Re: Lift Pump replacement
With a lift pump you don't really need to bleed. As per Pete's comment let the pump run for a minute then go ahead and start the engine. It may take a bit of cracking and run rough for a few seconds

Re: Boarding Ladder
The 4 point contact on the Edson step w non skid rubber buttons against the hull makes it very stable. The step has a very high safe load. Will not fail. Won¡¯t rot. Included line is dynemms and clip

Lift Pump replacement
I have replaced the lift pump and associated filters. New fuel line too. Before I restart the engine, does the system need to be purged of air? According to the manual, it is a self-bleeding system.
