No, you don¡¯t. ASL3 includes a script that reads all IP addresses of the system, but not when the node starts up. You would have to implement that yourself.
Example:
sudo asl-say -n <your-node-number> -w ip4
Substituting your actual node number.
HamVoIP has a script that runs at boot, which evaluates a file containing a few variables, such as whether or not to announce the IP address at startup, and the primary node number. You could re-create all that if you like, or do something more simple to make it read the IP when the pi first boots.

No Tim they took it out. If you want it back you need to go back to hamvoip?
I upgraded my Shari PiHatU to ASL3. Everything works great except I don't get the IP announcement anymore. Is there a fix for this
?
Thanks, Tim
