I think you and I talked briefly towards the end of our breakfast this morning.
?
As far as that radio goes, I don't think it will do the YSF digital stuff that our club's repeaters use. Whether it's a decent radio or not, I'm not sure. It also looks like it doesn't have D-Star or DMR, so it seems to be an analog only radio. That's ok, if that's what you need.?
You mentioned that you were having difficulty programming it - because you had to do it from the phone app.?I don't see that they have a desktop app... RT doesn't have an app for it, and you already mentioned that CHIRP doesn't work with it.?That's certainly not ideal.?
It looks like it's primary selling point is ruggedness at a good price point.?
Maybe someone else on the list can suggest a comparable radio that's easy to program, includes APRS/GPS, rugged, and is IP67 water resistant. If it's a Yaesu that does YSF for our club's repeaters that would be a bonus!?

Recently purchased an FDE colored VGC VR-N76 and have had no luck getting it to work with several different antennae to include mobile and base. ?Anyone in the group have one of these with success? ?If so I¡¯d love to get some help with it. ?Otherwise I¡¯ll offer it up for sale if anyone is interested. ?Thank you. ?
