Recently purchased an FDE colored VGC VR-N76 and have had no luck getting it to work with several different antennae to include mobile and base. ?Anyone in the group have one of these with success? ?If so I’d love to get some help with it. ?Otherwise I’ll offer it up for sale if anyone is interested. ?Thank you. ?

I think you and I talked briefly towards the end of our breakfast this morning.
?
As far as that radio goes, I don't think it will do the YSF digital stuff that our club's repeaters use. Whether it's a decent radio or not, I'm not sure. It also looks like it doesn't have D-Star or DMR, so it seems to be an analog only radio. That's ok, if that's what you need.?
You mentioned that you were having difficulty programming it - because you had to do it from the phone app.?I don't see that they have a desktop app... RT doesn't have an app for it, and you already mentioned that CHIRP doesn't work with it.?That's certainly not ideal.?
It looks like it's primary selling point is ruggedness at a good price point.?
Maybe someone else on the list can suggest a comparable radio that's easy to program, includes APRS/GPS, rugged, and is IP67 water resistant. If it's a Yaesu that does YSF for our club's repeaters that would be a bonus!?

Good afternoon,
Yes, I spoke with Derek about this radio following the meeting this morning. ?Thank you for taking the time to go over some of the issues I was having.
I bought the radio for a different reason and didn’t expect it to connect to the Yaesu digital repeaters. ?I’m still troubleshooting with the help of the VGC support team but am also looking into a Yaesu HT.

May have been answered already, but the Yaesu FT 70 ht has C4FM and a good price point.

Good afternoon,
I did exactly that. ?Shipped off the VGC for return today and ordered the FT70. ?Standing by for Yaesu’s next release, whenever that may be, in hopes it has USB-C charging.
