With my permission, my doctor uses an AI-based program that produces a written summary of the discussion during our office visit.? ?When?the visit is over, I get to review and revise the summary and receive?a copy of it before it goes into the official record.? ?As you say, the process creates a synopsis that is quite accurate.? I get to spend more time with the doctor as most of the time that she would have spent dictating the record of the visit is actually spent on the visit itself.??
Fortunately, in this situation the safeguards are in place to insure my consent and review.? No third-party rights are involved.? ?Unfortunately, that does not does not appear always to be the case with AI.? ? ?
