¡°Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America,¡± Young wrote. ¡°You worry about that instead of the dyin¡¯ kids in Gaza. That¡¯s your problem. I am not scared of you. Re: New album
One time I asked him about recording on the full moon but like so many I asked too many questions in the same post so he ignored it. If anybody is into the moon stuff I'd love to talk about the 18.6 year Lunar Standstill with you.? It was so important to the Native Americans in Newark, Ohio they built a pilgrimage?site by moving 7 million cubic feet of dirt to form the attached diagram in mounds. The diagram is in my new historical fiction book but I'm doing research now for the next one from the oral histories of North Carolina.? ?Drop me a line if you can help a fellow rustie! Looking for recordings of a couple shows I attended
Rusties,
?
I've been a (mostly) lurker for a long time, first back in the late 90s B&P era and then the past few years after dropping off the list for some time. My favorite Neil show I attended is 1993-08-14 at the Marcus Amphitheatre. He was backed by Booker T and the MGs. I think Soundgarden opened. I had a cassette of that show since the 90s but seem to have lost it during one of life's shufflings. My second favorite Neil show is the 2003-07-16 White River show on the Greendale tour. I've never had a copy of that show.? I'm not on Dime or any of the trading sites, so I'm humbly requesting here that someone please share recordings of these shows. Thanks for reading.

Peace,

Re: ISO of some info...
Love Earth has also been replaced. On the first issue it was 'borrowed' from a 2024 tour with CH or ChrHe which is why you could hear a bit of drum on it. It has now been replaced by an 'authentic' solo recording from 2023. Also I Am A Child in the new version does still have a bit of original low key vocals on it towards the end. My guess is that Neil thought that that same kind of low key vocal might make the instrumental tracks more interesting so he overdubbed them for the first release but then changed his mind. Since this is a soundtrack album and not a live performance album, and the tracks are not always absolutely identical with what you hear in the film anyway, I don't see why Neil shouldn't play around with them as he wants. I actually find the vocal version a bit more interesting. I think the 'error' was probably only putting a 'wrong' version of Love Earth on the first release. That is what he wanted to change but he 'corrected' the other tracks while he was about it. Just guessing though. |
