I do something very similar to KA2DEW. I use a DROK that provides 5.15 from 13.8 input. The DROK feeds the Pi and also a powered USB hub.

Volts get you there, but if you have the volts and don't have the amps you'll still get the lightening bolt problem. There is a specific requirement of amps at a given voltage for the PI 4. As already
