In 32bit Raspbian (or Linux) the kernel uses PAE. This allows the OS to see the 8gb (or more) and use it. The catch is any single proccess can only use 4gb of ram. This really is not a problem because there will be many procceses running and generally no single one will be using more than 4gb anyhow.

Hello everyone,
I have had my RPI 4 for a bit now. Actually, it is a 4GB RPI and right after I got it is when they came out with the 8GB grrr. I'm happy with the 4 GB though. One thing that i have had since I got this RPI4 in the top right corner is a lightning bolt with a low voltage warning. I was once told that it had to do with the power supply that I am using with the RPI. I have purchased new power supplies, I have tried many different things and this warning window always pops up. It does not seem to effect the performance but it gets annoying.?
Any suggestions would be great.?
Thank you
