I've embarked on a similar project.. using ansible.? I'd be happy to either contribute, or add you to my project.
The goal, is to have ansible do the install (preferably, by me creating and hosting .deb packages) and have a single file that users edit..? ?which then goes and configures all of the other software such as pat winlink, and such.

This was a manual creation, however I think I may use a build automation tool such as Ansible to create the next version. (This will take a good while because creating Ansible playbooks is a slow process sometimes...)
We are putting up a torrent as I write this... I will post the torrent file for download.
