开云体育There are pre-compiled images for the raspberry Pi here. ?? Read the comprehensive instructions and use Etcher to burn the downloaded image file. Insert into Pi, use web URL to login to Pi via browser. Pi-Star only has a web interface and Pi does not have a normal GUI or desktop and only CLI so typically you will never need a monitor or keyboard attached to the Pi as everything is done via a webpage. ? When setting up for the first time you will need the Nextion screen attached and depending on the screen size and what driver to use. ? The Nextion screen will only show blank images (or demo reels) until you upload a screen image via a FTDI USB to serial converter or if you Nextion screen has a MicroSD slot then onto a card and then load the HMI (pre compiled with Nextion software). You have to download the Nextion HMI for the right screen and then compile it before loading to the screen. ? Configure the MMDVM to your type (mine is dual channel), input your details, callsign, DMR ID etc. ? Everything is then just selecting the right configuration. Eg: DMR mode, Fusion Mode or of you really get fancy YSF to DMR etc. ? Also depending on your server you may need to register with. Brandmeister, D-Star (with your local D-Star repeater keeper or direct with Icom (but don’t start two registrations if one doesn’t reply) they get upset with multiple applications and won’t start fresh if one is underway. ? ?Test the BER and tune the frequency offset of your TXCO is off by a little bit. This will ensure 0.0% BER. Observe a lot of MMDVM on RPi’s also over load if you're ?keying the radio right next to it so make sure you reduce your power (this is certainly true on the dual band version I have found so worth noting). ? Register with the Pi-Star Telegram group for nearly 24/7 support. Do the same with Brandmeister, however, don’t discuss Pi-Star on Brandmeister or visa versa as they get the hump if you do. ? ?Andy Taylor is great for support but also a busy guy so please ask here first and in the forum before you reach out to him.
