Transmit message <...>0/zzzzzzzz in WSJT-x using W3DJS image window is too large for 7 inch screen

Running a Pi 3, 7 inch touch screen (using a mouse), FT-817nd, Yaesu CAT cable and homebrewed interface. I installed the W3DJS V2.0 image of ham radio apps. It is up and running, but I have noticed some odd things:

1. The window for the WSJT-x cannot be reduced beyond a certain size. It is a bit large for the 7 inch screen so to operate all the buttons I have to "grab" the window by using ALT and the mouse left button to move the window around. It is annoying, but does work. Is there another version of WSJT-x that I could install over the current one to fix this? In the W3DJS V1.0 WSJT-x, I was able to fit it all onto the screen.?

2. The first few contacts went fine, but now I'm noticing that in the Receive window on WSJT-x, when I transmit, instead of showing a call letter, it puts something like "<...>0/zzzzzzzz" where the call should be. I'm not at the radio at the moment, but I seem to recall seeing it in the CQ text as well. I have a second station and at some point I will monitor what I'm actually transmitting to see if it compares to what I see in the receive window. Any thoughts?
