I am trying to get my QCX+ to work with QRSS FSKCW and find that it keeps the carrier on for the duration of the frame. ?My frame is set to 10 minutes and my message is about 6 minutes long. ?The transmission continues after the last letter of my callsign is transmitted ?and lasts for about 4 minutes. ?I thought this problem was solved with version 1.07 and I have 1.09a installed on the transceiver. ?Any ideas what I have not configured correctly? ? Is there a special character that has to be included in the message to signal the end?

AH HA! ?I think I figured it out. ?It helps to RTFM. ?Page 13 of the QCX operating manual has details of how to construct and edit messages. ?When I set up message #1 I must have entered quite a few spaces which the sketch sees as a valid character and transmits it. ?I erased the previous message and followed the instructions in the manual when entering the new message and it seems to have worked. ?

I also have started using a buck converter that allows precise control of the input voltage to the QCX and now can drop my output to any level so I have been sending at around 800 mW today. ?It makes a major difference from the 3.4 watts at 13.4 VDC. ?My trace on the grabbers now is quite faint compared to the previous ones. ?

This entire process is nothing but fun!!

where would one find the Fskcw calling freq for 20m?
