Re: Rockwell Jupiter GPS receiver - anyone got it working with the U2?
Have you tried it with the NMEA line connected to the U2 as well as the pps? Also I am not sure what the max voltage is allowed on the U2 processor chip. I know my 2 gps units output 3v. 73's de

Re: Rockwell Jupiter GPS receiver - anyone got it working with the U2?
Hi Laurence, et al Ditto. I am having the same problem using the 1PPS output (only) from a Garmin 16 HVS. I have satellite lock (confirmed by using GPS Diag program on serial port) The 1PPS pulse is

Re: U2 with V2.03 firmware working FB
Its been a very busy weekend and start to the week so not much solder melting going on here right now! My U2 is running with a semi-oven right now. I say semi because at 28mhz the oscillator can

Re: V2.01 processor chip used as stand-alone CW keyer
Hello Hans, thanks a lot for the support! Indeed, a 1 kOhm pull-down to CPU pin 3 (PD1 = LCD D7) lets the CPU run as a stand-alone keyer. Very usefull for old CPU devices. Regards from

Re: Perseids
I am preparing for a stint on 28Mhz. I've used 28Mhz MS in the past and been very impressed with the results. However that was with SSB, so it will be a first for me using QRSS instead. 73 de Andy

Re: LCD DISPLAY DEAD
The power supply is a Basetech BT-305 rated at 5A and variable voltage/current. I,ll just order another kit. 73 John ? Digitally signed mail - M0ELS ________________________________ To:

Re: LCD DISPLAY DEAD
Have you tried a different power supply? That would be my first port of call, unless i was certain of that item. Even if there was a fault, I'd expect the power supply to have enough guts to maintain

dds chip
Just switched it on to check some voltages and the power supply voltage dropped to 3v. Red led is dimmer now, so it seems the DDS chip is gone. Unplugging the dds board brings the voltage up again to

Hi Hans, I am quite willing to pay for another kit. My soldering is up to scratch as I have done a lot of microwave stuff and spent many years soldering from 10 yrs old to present, so I know that's

Just out of interest have you tried an alternative power supply the one I initially used gave me a grayed out LCD and nothing else. Regards Jon - 2E0RFU

Re: Dead lcd
Could be the atmega chip that is dead. I blew up one of mine by applying too much voltage through a stupid blunder. The main sign that something was wrong was that the LCD was blank. i could hear
