Hi - Has anyone managed to get the Rockwell TU XXX Jupiter functioning with U2? When I switch on "GPS" and do the right switch to start the LCD just stays blank. Shoving the serial into the GPS TAC32 prog shows good 1pps and 4800,N,1 decodes but no go at the mom on V2.03 at the moment..I double and triple checked my wiring today but perhaps its me....

Yes I have built a such unit as a stand alone unit several years
back and more or less followed an example of such a circuit
where I brought out the 1PPS and the 10Khz signals. This
circuit has also a battery suppor for the Jupiter.
Also it is connected to the PC via RS232 comms port which
via software does display the GPS messages.
I have the U2 kit just waiting to be built but right now I am busy
out in the gardens catching up with summer pruning etc now
that decent weather is with us.
Originally I was on QRSS/QRPP using the main station rig with
lots of attenuation in the RF feed to the antenna to meet the
QRPP requirements. This arrangement I did not like to leave
running 24 hours so now I am getting bits and pieces together
for the U2 system.
The only difficulty I experienced was in getting the required
multi way socket to match the existing one on the Jupiter so
if you know of any supplier as always handy to have a spare
then let me know.
