Newly assembled QMX+ for sale
Hi, I received my QMX+ kit two weeks ago. I carefully constructed and tested it. It works perfectly on CW, on all bands. I don't operate digital modes or SSB so I haven't tested those modes. I've been

Hi Stan, Fldigi is working and when I press tune, in RTTY mode there is output, but in CQ it appears in the window, but no keying. The TxID light comes on but I turn it off. This is my first time in

Re: QMX and Digi
I love the iFTx with the QMX. Those are some good QSO¡¯s there. I see the signal strength and power in DIGI mode as with the others. Using VOX, I did need to lower the thresholds a little but it is

Sorry for the long delay between questions. The speaker, amplifier, and battery manager appear to be working. The ATU worked fine in isolation. However, after plugging everything together, the ATU

Re: Newbie with battery question
The Bioenno 12V batteries should not be used with QMX/QMX+ unless you use diodes to drop the voltage.? Their full-charge voltage is much higher than 12V. Many have reported using the 12V Talentcell

Re: PSK31 with QMX + Digipan
Hi John, Thanks for the suggestion! When I go to download a copy all I get is an unconfirmed download and the file goes away after a few hours and never seems to complete...? Any suggestions?

Re: Newbie with battery question
Most modern equipment thrives at 13.8 volts, and how low in voltage they will operate varies. The QCX family of CW rigs generally works at this same voltage. The QMX family supports more diverse

Yes, Todd is correct. a) The QMX only will show up as a 'virtual USB storage drive' during firmware update mode. b) If the USB connector is connected to both computer and QMX, then you power-on QMX

Alain, I believe the drive only pops up when you're doing a firmware update. So if you go through the same firmware menu process, the simulated flash drive will pop up again. When you plug in the QMX

Re: Newbie with battery question
I agree with the buck-boost converter. What I use has a 4amp capacity and 7-30Vdc input. The C.V. and C.C. are set with pots. It also has a color LCD which shows: input voltage, output voltage

Re: Newbie with battery question
I can recommend the 12v Talentcell battery with the QMX (not the +) or for the QCX-mini, the case is conveniently the same size as the radios. They perform well. Steve
