Re: Ultimate2 kit status summary
Hi Hans, I've been doing some testing and changing the SPEED parameter so that my callsign fits nicely in ten minute frames - If I set speed to 10 then my callsign fits with 20 seconds to spare so

Re: U2 Frequency and 1PPs
Mmmm, tried "all"? settings. freq stays at 125.000.000. Time does not get updated It seems to sulk with GPS on and do nothing. tried inverting and all pulse width up to 50%. GPS is GARMIN GPS16 LV

Re: IW2DZX WSPR
Also I forgot to add something regarding my original spectrogram tests. Whilst watching the signal when receiving only the two bit streams, the same could be heard on the receiver. It was just like

Re: IW2DZX WSPR
Well I know for a fact that I did have my own 28Mhz WSPR decoding at one point on whatever 10m random freq I chose for the test. Then I moved to another, and it all went skew whiff. I have no doubt

Re: U2 Frequency and 1PPs
That sounds like a good idea to me, how about some 'square brackets' around the Locator i.e. in my case IO84 becomes [IO84]? 73, Colin M0XSD.

Re: IW2DZX WSPR
Experimenting with 15m today, I did have the start up problem (power and swr going full scale) but a couple of power on/off cycles cleared that up and I'm now getting some

Yes Hans Its a funny arrhythmic problem when it variable. I have done some more investigations I will contact direct. 73 Eddie G3ZJO

Re: U2 Frequency and 1PPs
Is is a good idea to have a small indication on the LCD when in normal operatin gmode that indicates that the GPS has locked ? That would save having to check the DDS Ref Freq menu. Hans ? 73 de

Re: IW2DZX WSPR
As the other Andy says, more confusion. Although I remember you having your signal on 28MHz WSPR on your Grabber and the tone spacing was most strange, stretched at the bottom. Probably WSPR can

My U2 kit was also very happy on 10m wspr. I moved it to 20m now and all is well there too. 73's Andy Gj7rwt :------------------------------

Re: GPS behaviour very inconsistent
It's quite entertaining that ADAfruit call it the "Ultimate GPS module".... and here we are playing with what *I* called the "Ultimate" QRSS kit! 73 Hans G0UPL

All Amazingly, Aldo IW2DZX continues to operate 10m WSPR successfully with the Ultimate2 kit, see http://tinyurl.com/plqpk29 Aldo tells me that he is using 3x BS170 transistors in the PA, operated

Re: QRSS ARDUINO shield questions
Hi Colin Yes, I see. Yes, you can provide a battery voltage > 7V, through the Vin pin, on my QRSS Arduino shield. The QRSS shield provides access to all the usual Arduino connectors on the two 6-pin

Re: U2 Frequency and 1PPs
The DDS oscillator will have its calibration figure altered by the GPS 1PPS, changing up or down from 125 000 000 and of course the signal output will be accurately on frequency. Providing you have

Re: GPS behaviour very inconsistent
Tony, I've got an adafruit GPS unit (http://www.adafruit.com/products/746) which I've connected using four wires to the U2 kit: 1pps, +V, gnd and data. It has the ability to run with a battery
