Re: troubleshooting QMX rev 2 high bands transmit #qmx #transmitpower #troubleshooting
I am having similar problems with my build. I checked T507 before building and it was OK, my concern is if the enamel melted in the winding section as I had to apply a bit of heat when soldering the

Re: Optimizing QMX (80m-20m, 12V supply) Power Output
Thank you. I wound the output transformer the same way (RWTS) and believe I got everything nice and tight. quick update: I measured output power with a shorter jumper cable to my meter, and

Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
Hi All, I Finally solved also the issue about the right encoder. After carefully checking the MPU with a microscope I found that the solder of this part on the main board was defective, especially

Re: QMX volume encoder
Hi Juan - No, they are different. The left QCX encoder is analog and can't pushbutton The QMX are both rotary encoders and can pushbutton down: Sandy KB3EOF

Re: QMX (80-20m) Rev 2 Harmonics
I got tired of worrying about power ratings of attenuators and accidentally putting too much power into a device so I built one of these: https://youtu.be/byF1FLdbUiA?si=Cf1gfyl1EbRiH71m (

Alan, Yes I always try bothe the m328 and m328p versions of whatever trial I'm running - with different feedback but the same error except for the device id it's looking for. I'd like to know how to

Re: QMX (80-20m) Rev 2 Harmonics
That one should work, though I would connect the first one in a series to get 50dB of attenuation (37dBm-50dB = -13dBm).? This is under the maximum that the TinySA Ultra can handle but still not

Local HRO didn't have it so going to order another attenuator online. Looking at this model:

Re: QMX (80-20m) Rev 2 Harmonics
From a little Googling it appears to me the 10 in the part number means 10dB and the 25 means 25W. You'd need much more attenuation than 10dB to avoid totally overloading the TinySA. 73 Hans

Re: QMX: Requiescat in Pacem
Hello Joerg In any firmware version from 1_00_009 onward, the switching regulation loop runs in the highest priority interrupt process. NOTHING can stop it. It certainly doesn't get delayed by any

The attenuator does have an 'in' marked on one end and an 'out' marked on the other. Photo below:

I'll go shop for another attenuator and retest. This one came with the Tiny SA from Amazon and I can't find much about it online. Will visit HRO later.
