I Finally solved also the issue about the right encoder.
After carefully checking the MPU with a microscope I found that the solder of this part on the main board was defective, especially for a few pins (92-93) connected to the right encoder. Then I reflowed all pins and the problem was immediately been cleared.
As I have had experience with defective joints on pre-assembled smd boards, I thought it wise to investigate this matter also for the QMX.
Now all is fine and QMX works nicely according to specifications.
