Re: Logging pad idea for my "QHX" #qmx
Pretty neat idea, Yoon! You're giving the KH1 a run for the money! -- 73, Dan? NM3A There are moments when everything turns out right .... Don't let them alarm you; they pass. -Jules Renard

Re: QMX without audio
It sounds as if the left encoder is not working properly. Check on the terminal diagnostics screen. there are a number of RED items. when you successfully exercise each of these items, the RED will go

Re: QMX HW Diagnostics: No TX?
I think that will work ,Todd. You will be adding a tiny inductance in the source of Q507 because of the length of the new lead. You might plan for an additional 100nF capacitor from source to

Re: QMX Clicking CW Sound
Hey all, I just found out that the RING connection on the output jack is connected to PIN 5 of the processor in the Ultra PicoKeyer. I am not sure why this is connected, and it is not shown as a

Re: QMX HW Diagnostics: No TX?
Hmmm.. that's a brilliant observation. Just wrap a small line around the edge of the board (convenient with the MOSFET in the corner). Logically enough, R507 and C507 are next to each other on the

Re: QMX HW Diagnostics: No TX?
Todd I'm pretty sure you can recover gracefully. Check to make sure that the resistor and capacitor remain connected to 12V. There may be a way to pick up +12V for the source lead right at one

Logging pad idea for my "QHX" #qmx
I don't think it is just me that uses QMX as an HT, so there can be different versions of QHX. This is about my version of QHX, integrated with the 2s 14500 batteies and the micro-size single lever

Re: QMX without audio
You might also use the terminal mode to run the diagnostic to be sure that the encoder and all are working... That's all described in the assembly manual. Also, when you power on, is it showing you

Re: QMX HW Diagnostics: No TX?
Hmmm... Good news and bad news. 1. I took voltage readings from Q507 (AOD403) with my 12v QMX powered on as follows: Source: 11.98v Gate: 11.88v Drain: 6.6v With the device powered off, I measured a

Juan, That's not a stupid question at all. QMX receives no power from the USB port, so unlike a thumb drive for example, it definitely requires a power supply to connect to the computer. JZ KJ4A
