David, Yes WSPR is the obvious choice. It seems to me that many of the other mode "grabbers" are to alert users that a QSO with a spotted station is possible rather than just to test propagation? 73

Hi Andy I would suggest try 400 and 600Hz for the audio phase shift adjustment. If you left it at 800Hz it would not be bad, either... I do not know really the answer to this and I have not tried it

Not sure what your saying.The quote was from my post saying ,why not have FT8 beacon for U3S? JT9 has fewer spotters as does many other modes that came and gone...so yes,FT8 in the U3S is a good idea
