Did the exact same thing this morning too mine, melted 3x BS170 chips... Need to maybe put it into practice mode before connecting the GPS... Ah the smell of roasted MOSFEt in the morning....

Hello, Georges thanks for the info.? I'm still waiting for my kit to start assembling. but definitely, the tone of 700 Hz (by default) is very uncomfortable for me. I usually use a tone of 450-550 Hz

okay I also tried turning on the beacon setting, and WSPR.? but same behavior.? this time I watched careful - when I plug into the GPS module (which works fine with my 3S) I have smoke coming out

I understand from another messages here that the current 40m frequency is 7.040mHz minus up to 200Hz, well within General privileges.? The old 7,000mHz frequency has apparently been deprecated.
