Re: UQRSS runs much too slow
That's a very strange thing to happen. I just built a new one (I had one already) and it is the same issue of the kit as yours, but it behaves perfectly. The settings look normal. I replicated

Re: UQRSS runs much too slow
Steve, Same here! Received my kit last week. The clock as displayed on the LCD runs ~8 times slow. Using QRSS with speed 5 it takes 40 seconds to send a dot. In addition the FSK pin of the uP ((p15)

Re: UQRSS runs much too slow
Hi Guys, I'll wait for Hans to comment on this as he designed the hardware and wrote the software. I think he might be taking a short break so please be a little patient. If anyone else has a problem

Re: UQRSS runs much too slow
Just got mine last week- fired it up today and got the same situation- way too slow. Every thing physically looks good but is beaving exactly the same as yours. ? 73,

UQRSS experiments on 20 meters...
Had a one off crystal made by QuartSlab...Bit expensive but worth it I reckon.. The crystal frequency is 14.097100 HC49U 30pF parallel.. With C5 removed, I can tune below/through and above the WSPR

UQRSS runs much too slow
Hello all, first many thanks to Hans G0UPL for the quick delivery of the kits. The first one I have built up yesterday, but struggling with a problem: The MCU seems to run much too slow. This is

UQRSS running on 40 meters WSPR
Got a 7.04 Mhz crystal from the GQRP club online shop for ?2:00 Anyhoo, with C5 removed it tunes nicely through the WSPR section of 40 meters.. Getting a nice selection of spots this

Re: Required GPS sentence
Hi Jon The kit requires only the $GPRMC sentence. It will listen to the input data stream and watch for $GPRMC. Anything else, it will ignore. So you can leave in the other sentences or not, it makes

Re: UQRSS with WSPR (without/with GPS) and FSKCW3 (with GPS) on 30 M
Maybe a set of jumpers to support using a common antenna, or using an off-board relay to switch antennas? This way the user would have options for antenna selection. This avoids having to include a

Re: UQRSS with WSPR (without/with GPS) and FSKCW3 (with GPS) on 30 M
Hans, & others... Might it be possible in some future version of the U-QRSS unit to have the uP use it's FSK ability to switch operating frequency between QRSS and WSPR segments of the band? If that

Re: UQRSS with WSPR (without/with GPS) and FSKCW3 (with GPS) on 30 M
Hello Hans, Forgot to mention that a WSPR/QRSS tx kit for 500 Khz would be very nice. Did some work on that band (also 136 KHz) and with 1 Watt could reach a 500-600 Km. Did that with a simple 6

Fb Tony, Nice picture and can see very good now what you have made. This way it is very easy to change Capacitors and do experiments. Yes the Magnetic Loop: It is with the size of 150 by 150 cm

Re: UQRSS with WSPR (without/with GPS) and FSKCW3 (with GPS) on 30 M
How will you manage the fact that the antenna will not present a low impedance to beacons operating at different frequencies? If I was doing that, I think I would give each beacon its own thin

Re: UQRSS with WSPR (without/with GPS) and FSKCW3 (with GPS) on 30 M
Fb Hans, That is a fb idea! And when a relay from a kit is NOT powered, then the relay contact for TX is switched to a little dummyload/resistor. It can be made a bit foolproof I think, so that
