Re: Help for QMX in Germany
Harry, Those are curious and interesting BPF plots. It looks like 80m-40m is "sort of OK" but with some unexplained variation. You also get TX power output on those bands. It is as if there is a

Re: Help for QMX in Germany
Hello Hans told me to send pictures from the main board. A German om told to change L401 for the new winding style. Can I just press the windings L401 or have I to desolder L401 first? Here the

Re: QMX Rev 3 Hi Band Kit
Thanks Mike. I did get an answer - email was just slow. And all is taken care of. I believe the two are different, but don't think it really matters much. Finishing touches go on tomorrow and will

QMX does not save VFO A or B frequencies on shutdown.
My QMX has never saved either VFO A nor VFO B frequencies on shutdown. It always ends up rebooting on 28124.60 KHz. Everything else such as keyer speed, tuning rate, etc. are saved. I have done a

Re: QMX SWR PWR Readings
An RF-sensing amp will always exhibit a transient high VSWR event during TX switchover, as it switches AFTER RF is already applied, as will a switched-element tuner as it does its switching

Re: QMX SWR PWR Readings
Great trouble shooting! Good QMX info to know and keep filed away for the future if needed for those who my might run into the same issue. Can the PA-50 be manually pre set to the band of interest??

More Happiness With My New QMX
Hi gang. Even more amazed ... Earlier today I tweaked the TCXO to be within 0.2Hz receiving the 20 mHz WWV broadcast. Drifted up 1 Hz after about 4 hours of WSPR ops, TX'ing at 20% for a portion of

Re: QMX - Any progress on key clicks please?
I just came up with a possible theory for the key clicks. My theory is that the output op amp, an NE5532, may be going into slew rate limiting under certain conditions. The T.I. data sheet for the

Re: ¡®G¡¯ character appears in TX with no GPS connected
I have seen this problem with QCX-mini, and it turned out to be RF from adjacent Coax bleeding into paddle line, triggering the ¡°GPS present¡±. It went away with ferrite on paddle cable.

Re: QMX SWR PWR Readings
Hi Greg All four problems on your list were checked and ok. Amp is automatic RF sensing Micro PA-50, but the problem also occurs with automatic AT100M tuner, but only when they are powered on. I

A few quick thoughts. No fault on your part meant to be implied ...? 1) cabled correctly? QMX to transceiver input port of amplifier? Amp connected to antenna? 2) Amp set to the band you wish to

Hi Dick, Has the QDX ever worked or connected with the computer? What is the current draw when you turn on the QDX? Based on what I have read, I suggest verifying the USB connections on the QDX

Hi Dick AFAIK the Windows device name is not /dev/ACM... That is the Linux device name. It will probably be something like com5. The lack of any device hotplug appearing in the device manager would
