Re: Your opinion please. #qmx
John, I beat my QMX up all yesterday and evening constantly running FT8. Not a blip of issue. Power stayed within 0.1 watt of the set 3.5 watts the whole time. Again this morning all is well. The only

Re: QMX VSWR indication #qmx
Ryuji, points taken. I should have mentioned in my earlier post that the large toroids stack is also required for power dissipation reasons. Attenuators were put on the log amp board. It works fine

Re: Your opinion please. #qmx
Ryuji, I spent some time this morning simulating the modulator. I found it to be a pretty well behaved circuit. With nominal device parameters and running at 12V there was a small amount of ringing in

Re: QMX PC Connect, Anyone?
Jim, The QMX works FB with Fldigi with firmware 006. Later firmware versions broke the compatibility with fldigi. Hans knows about it and hopefully some where along the line it will get a firmware

Re: QLG2 GPS unit 1 second slow
Guys, If you are using the QLG2 with the QMX does it work fully with the QMX Transceiver? My QMX doesn't go into transmit when using WSPR when the time comes, and I was wondering if there was a bug in

QMX PC Connect, Anyone?
I posted a question yesterday asking if anyone has successfully connected their QMX to MacLoggerDX (MLDX). No replies so far. So, I'm wondering if anyone has connected their QMX to ANY application

Re: QMX VSWR indication #qmx
I'm with Bojan. I add.. Most I've built for low power (100W max) and covering 160 though 6M and several things are influencing... Ferrite used and its associated bandwidth.? -43 is a typical choice

Re: QMX and FT8CN audio issue - strange issue
Thanks for this Chris. That may be a work around. I have reported the issue to Hans (who has acknowledged the issue and has it on "his list!") In the meanitme I will give this a go. Cheers Daimon.

Re: QMX VSWR indication #qmx
Steve, the ferrite loss of a parallel transformer is determined by magnetizing conductance (just the real part) in relation to the line conductance. Calculating the reactance and set that to be 10x

Re: QMX Volume Control Issue
Hi, I know it is coming out some time these days but until Hans make his magic upon the FW of QMX - CW part - I treat the QMX CW part as being still in alpha stage! So, I have said it. 73 Bojan S53DZ

Re: QMX VSWR indication #qmx
Hi, I just want to add some info about using the BAT-41 instead. The difference is seeable but not essential for the VSWR indication. with 2 x SS14: 60m, 4.7W, 1.02:1 40m, 4.2W, 1.03:1 30m, 4.4W,

Re: QMX VSWR indication #qmx
Ryuji, The larger core sits directly across the output to ground and at high power must have adequate inductive reactance at the lowest frequency of operation to minimize losses in the core resulting

Re: QDX - SSTV Possible?
More on "digital SSTV" re...? fldigi I just learned that an alternative to "digital SSTV" is the ability of multi-mode fldigi to send small images I have used fldigi for years mostly psk-31 (but that

Re: Receiver Module Test
I think the frequency is due to not having exact LO frequency. 1500Hz versus 388Hz is 0.001112MHz. I do not think a scope is that accurate A long time ago I built a RX module. I did no tests, just

Re: Receiver Module Test
The inconsistency with the guide of troubleshooting are: a) the frequency of the audio - 1500Hz versus 388Hz (which is my case). b) the shape of the square signals and the phase shift at the I and Q

Re: QLG2 GPS unit 1 second slow
Peter, Yes, but other QRP Labs products compensate by anticipating the pulse. U3S for example. Eventually Hans will update the QLG2, it is not important because it is not marketed as a clock. 73 Alan

To my knowledge, all GPS receivers work the same way.? They output the seconds pulse, then in the next second the data sent refers to that previous seconds pulse.? For the data sentences that
