Re: 5W Amp and Ultimate 3S with GPS
My U3S has the 5W PA, single band operation and the depth front to back in about 120mm. I don't use the QRP Labs case. But, I'm going say I don't think a GPS board and the U3S with the amp will fit in

Re: Power on issue solved on my QCX :-)
Hi Mike The fuses ARE already set for the 65ms start-up delay. There should not be any large power jumps on start-up. It's a bit of a mystery why some people see it and some don't. I never get it

Re: QCX Kits apology
This is a build that I¡¯m actually excited about. When I read about the kit somewhere I was really intrigued with the many features included. Robert (N5RHA) Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2017 2:06 PM

Re: Power on issue solved on my QCX :-)
Hallo Hans, I do not have any experience with AVRs. I read in the datasheet that you can set the fuse bits for a time-out-dalay after reset of about 65 ms. This should be enough for the the 100 microH

Re: QCX Kits apology
Hello Robert Thank you; but don't worry about it. I know waiting is frustrating. Sometimes for whatever reasons, our tolerance of frustration is diminished. It happens. I wish you the very best of

QCX Kits apology
I wanted to just send a little note to apologize for my rant about the shipping delays. I have been really stressed lately due to health problems. I hope that none of you ever need to have a liver

Great going, Mikael! I¡¯ve been following your and the other WSPR balloonists¡¯ posts on here with much interest. I¡¯m anxiously awaiting the U3B to appear in the QRP Labs shop, and my goal

Re: reverse keyed CW paddle
You're on an interesting quest Justin. I can't help with any paddle hardware but on reading your message I immediately thought of the "Solid State CW Paddle" from Neno, 9A5N. Maybe this could help in

5W Amp and Ultimate 3S with GPS
Hello all- I¡¯m curious if the 5w amp will fit in the 3S enclosure with every option including the GPS board installed, which from videos, appears to require both a 5v and 9v power supply board?

Re: QCX WSPR mode ?
Yes, agreed - GPS is optional. But bear in mind, you do need precise frequency calibration to get inside the 200Hz WSPR sub-band on each band, and WSPR requires reasonably accurate timing. It's the

Re: QCX WSPR mode ?
GPS module is optional for WSPR. It will sync up the time and will provide the transceiver with a locator. Alternatively, you can enter the time and locator manualy.

QCX WSPR mode ?
Will the QCX work well for WSPR without the GPS add on or is that a real need? MY SN 8XX is coming soon so wondering if the GPS is a needed accessory. Thanks Barry NF1O

Re: Power on issue solved on my QCX :-)
As Karsten says: You can reduce the 100uH inductor to 47uH to solve the power-on issue. It does not affect everyone anyway. I have never seen it on any of my dev/prototype/pre-production/production

Re: U3S toroid - 2200m to 160m
Hello Paul N1BUG, If you are just using your U3S on 2200m to drive a Class D amp you don't need the toroid at all, just take drive direct from the Si chip CLK0 pin. If you use the very latest firmware
