GridTracker Logging when connected to RemoteHams
I have been using RemoteHams for quote sometime and when logging directly the LOTW im able to specificy the correct RemoteHams Grid im using to correctly note in the log the Remote CO station grid im using... I cant seem to log locally to my N3FJP log using that grid config that i have setup in WSJTX or GT .. it still logs my contact info for my QTH. For example if im using an RemoteHams station in FL (EL96) and log a contact when it logs to my grid info instead of putting EL96 it will use my QTH of CN87wi .. is there a configuration im missing? I have a PC that i only use for Remote Hams and typically only use EL96 remote, so if its a static config change i can make that's fine but it would be great to be able to grab that Grid info from GridTracker or WSJTX

Common Settings and POTA 11
I'll be doing POTA once winter's grip has loosened. I'm already putting together my POTA "go bag" (a very large duffle) that will carry everything. Plop it in the car and put it in Drive. I plan to use a separate log for each activation, which will be imported into the master log afterwards. When it comes to the settings (Ctrl+S) for each activation, should I change those so that they reflect the correct location such as long/lat, state, and grid square for the park? It would seem this would be true, but I wanted to ask. Brian Warner WB0NWZ

Moving to new computer... 6
Hello, I am moving my log, and logging program, from computer A to computer B. I am running the 7.0.11 version of ACL. In looking at the KB, I see a list of .xml files I need to move to save some, if not all, of my configurations. I also see that if a default value has not been changed, then there will be no .xml file written for that item. When I look in "Documents/Affirmatech/N3FJP Software/shared" I see only the following list of .xml files: Uploadersettingsshared.xml Countryupdatedate.xml Commonsettings.xml in the "Documents/Affirmatech/N3FJP Software/shared" directory. The KB gives a list of several other files, some of which I believe should have been changed, and hence written to "Documents/Affirmatech/N3FJP Software/shared, as I have made changes to what I believe are those settings. Things like width of a field in the log-- I do not see those .xml files in Documents/Affirmatech/N3FJP Software/shared... Should I? If so, what am I doing wrong? I have attached a screen shot of the "Documents/Affirmatech/N3FJP Software/shared" directory... -- 73, and thanks, Dave (NK7Z) https://www.nk7z.net ARRL Volunteer Examiner ARRL Technical Specialist, RFI ARRL Asst. ACLog shows only limited QSO info from WSJTX contact 2
AClog displays WSJTX FT8 contact information in realtime as each FT8 QSO is logged, which is a real convenience. However, unlike QSOs that are logged directly into ACLog, ACLog does not look up information about the call sign (from QRZ in my case). Is there some setting I can change to make this happen? Thank you. -- Jim Webb, W4NTA

ACLOG changes K4D mode 8
Just started using ACLOG. LOVE it!! But I have an issue: WSJT-X is running. K4 is in DATA mode of course. I start ACLOG. Shortly after I hear a chime and the K4 changes to CW mode. I suspect it has something to do with rig polling. Any help? Fw: Changing CW Speed 4
This message, sent almost a year ago, never showed up in this group message board. So here I go I'll try again. I hope to get a response. 73 Eric K4FAN Yahoo Mail - Email Simplified ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: "Eric Webner" <ka8fan@...> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Cc: Sent: Sun, Mar 24, 2024 at 22:10 Subject: Changing CW Speed Hello Scott and Family, When working stations using CW, it is very convenient to send "canned" messages using the F keys. I have set up some messages to send using the menu Transmit Settings/CW, which also has speed settings. Often, there are times when I come across a station that is sending at a faster or slower speed. Is there a quick, convenient way to change the speed without going into the menu? 73, Eric K4FAN ex KA8FAN

CQWPXRTTY plus POTA logging
Thanks to Scott's masterpieces I used TWO of his programs to do CW,SSB,FT8 with ACL and the WPX program for the RTTY contest EASILY with no pen/pencil! In a POTA park so all Q's counted for POTA. Hats off to the fldigi & wsjtx folks as well. Hint: the ADIF master program is great for log tweaking. One minor bug in the WPX program, You can't selectively export records like in the other programs. No biggie, I figured it out. -- 73, Bo W4GHV since '54 https://www.qrz.com/db/W4GHV

Upgrade idea, watch list 3
Hi Scott, I was thinking how much I love the watch list feature and it would be great if there was a way to say automatically load all the stations mentioned in the ARRL Dx bulletin or one of the other DX bulletins into the watch list. Thanks for a great program! Steve W6QX

.MDB FILES 3 #aclog
I have run into a problem with my backup of ACLOG. I have it set now that every time I close the program I have it backed up to a SD card. I was using a flash drive but that didn't seem to work. My problem is that when I turn on my computer the .mdb file is corrupt. So I have to go back 1 day and load from there which means all qso's from the previous day are not there. I am a avid POTA chaser and I keep a hand written copy of all the qso's I made the day before. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks -- 73's Dave NU4N

N3FJP will not work with JTAlert 8
I tried to get both N3FJP, WSJT-X and JTAlert to run at the same time. But evidently that is not possible. Evidently N3FJP uses the Main Server Setting that is in WSJT. It will not identify the secondary server if activated. Also, JTAlert will not work if one uses the Secondary Server. So I either give up automatic logging from WSJT into N3FJP or Forget JTAlert and use N3FJP and automatic logging from WSJT. Perhaps a programming change could be done with N3FJP to allow the use of a secondary Server #. Is that a possibility Scott? Mark KB3Z

Proper use of API with WSJTx and Grid Tracker? 13
Hi guys, I have been using ACLog along with WSJTx and Grid Tracker for over a year without any issues. However I had a computer "crash" and I lost my setup information and I am no longer able to figure out how to properly setup the UDP address / Ports to allow them to work together. I can get ACLog and WSJTx to talk to eachother, or I can get WSJTx and Grid Tracker to work with eachother, but I can't get all three to "talk" at the same time. Does anyone know offhand what the proper UDP / Port settings should be for each of the programs to allow them to speak to eachother? Thanks for any guidance. Pete WA1HXH

CQ WPX RTTY This Weekend! 3
Hi All, CQ WPX RTTY is this weekend and runs 0000 UTC Saturday to 2359 UTC Sunday! CQ WPX is really cool! Everyone can work everyone for points and multipliers, so you don't need a robust DX station to make a lot of Qs. In addition to DX, there will be plenty of stateside stations to work too! The exchange is just 599 and a progressive serial number. Multipliers are simply prefixes. For example, W3, N3, NE3, WC3, K3, KA3, KB3, etc. are each separate prefixes that each count as multipliers. You'll find the complete rules here: https://www.cqwpxrtty.com/rules.htm And the logging software for this contest (which takes care of the serial numbers for you automatically) here: https://www.n3fjp.com/cqwpx.html Several free digital programs that interface with our software are here: https://www.n3fjp.com/faq.html#q50 If you need sample macros for your digital software, this will get you going: http://www.nemarc.org/macros.html Please install and connect your digital software to our CQ WPX software early this week as detailed here: https://www.n3fjp.com/help/digitalsetup.html Getting the software set up is easy and we are happy to help before the contest starts, but once we are in contest mode, the support hat comes off!!! Lord willing, I am hoping to bring a good effort for this one and work you on RTTY this weekend! Enjoy!!! 73, Scott N3FJP http://www.n3fjp.com ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý the Amateur Radio community with contesting and general logging software since 1997. 1 Peter 3 vs 15: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. Double Entry 3
I looked at an entry #63646, which didn't help me. I haven't changed anything, but recently AClog is duplicating contacts. These come from WsJT. It has occurred in just the last week after logging thousands of contacts correctly for years. I shut everything down and rebooted the computer, so it would eliminate running duplicate programs. When I get anything running, I rarely tweak settings. I will use them for years Ross N8GMY
