Proper use of API with WSJTx and Grid Tracker?

Hi guys,
?
I have been using ACLog along with WSJTx and Grid Tracker for over a year without any issues.? However I had a computer "crash" and I lost my setup information and I am no longer able to figure out how to properly setup the UDP address / Ports to allow them to work together.
?
I can get ACLog and WSJTx to talk to eachother, or I can get WSJTx and Grid Tracker to work with eachother, but I can't get all three to "talk" at the same time.
?
Does anyone know offhand what the proper UDP / Port settings should be for each of the programs to allow them to speak to eachother?
?
Thanks for any guidance.

Thanks Randy.
?
I'll give it a try and let you know how I make out.

Hi Randy
?
That was a big help.? Everything was functional, However, the option to color contacts in the WSJTx screen from ACLog was not working so I played around and added the following setting in ACLog to have ACLog listen to WSJTx.? After making this change, everything is again working as it was before my computer tanked.
?
Thanks for getting me on the right track.

I Screenshot them for my own records. Those are the setting I use that I had to re-create after I muffed my FT8 settings. I stumble upon the right setting, but I'll keep this as reference. 73

I’m not certain you can run JT-alert and Grid Tracker at the same time.? Never considered trying that.? I had some sizeable issues with JT-alert, never got it working 100%. But Grid Tracker was perfect.? But for portable I don’t use either anymore.

Easy. Set all apps to use the same udp multicast IP & port. I use 224.0.0.123 port 2237. For JTAlert there is nothing to configure as it automatically detects the Wsjtx udp multicast settings..

I just tried the 224.0.0.123 port 2237 in WSJT and N3FJP cannot sync with that IP and Port.

224.0.0.123 is not a valid private IP address.

The address should be 127.0.0.1

I use 224.0.0.73, port 2237, and it works a treat.? Note that the Listen for WSJT-X box also needs to be ticked.

224.0.0.73 is the unofficial official multicast IP address to use for WSJT-X.? Due to how multicast works, the address cannot actually be part of your local subnet, but it still all works.

I'm talking about configuring N3FJP ACLog to listen to WSJT-X.

I configure WSJT-X to send UDP packets to the same 224.0.0.73 port 2237 address, and the contacts show up automatically in ACLog when I click the "Log Contact" button in WSJT-X.

Where is this "Listen for WSJT-X box"? Is it in Wsjtx? Are you meaning
the "Accept UDP Requests" setting? If so, that is not needed unless you
want Wsjtx to respond to JTAlert callsign clicks and accept decode
coloring instructions. The JTAlert instructions default to having that
setting enabled to keep it simple for new users

Yes, but you need to hit the log contact button. My N3FJP will automatically log the contact from WSJT without having to push log contact button.
