yes com0com is helpfull if you are trying to use the same com ports on multiple programs. I used in with win4yaesu ( there is a win4icom version as well) and it let me make, I think it was up to 5

If you're just having the 7300 talk to ACLog and no other program (like WSJT-X)then you won't need a virtual serial port (VSP) interface like com0com. Like Scott said, you do need the Icom

I may have found the problem. I had two ac log programs running at the same time. I deleted the dupes and am no longer getting any error messages.

This morning I updated Lotw via ac log. Out of the three contacts I made yesterday that were logged twice on ac log three were uploaded and the three duplicates were not.
