Easy Way To Duplicate A Log Entry? 10
I'm sure this has probably been discussed, but I don't remember when... This morning I was scanning across 15 & 20 meters for Parks On The Air stations to work, and I managed to work a few... Later this afternoon while looking at my Hunters log on the POTA website and I notice that one of the stations I had worked this morning had activated a 2-fer (an area where one entity like a State Park overlaps with a National Park, Historic Trail, WMA, etc) and their log shows an entry for the entity I logged plus another one. What is the easiest or best way for me to duplicate the one entry in my log so I can have one entry in my log for each POTA entity I worked? -- I'm good in the callbook! 47 & 73 de Travis KB5ILY / PG00041468 870-260-6068 (Phone) -- Travis W. Keeping ACL on two computers
Hi Bill, Thanks for your e-mail. Use the default File Share for AC Log. To network multiple PCs, simply put your log file in a location that is accessible to all the PCs you wish to network by clicking File > Save As. Then, from the other PCs, click File > Open, navigate to the file and select it. Any contacts you enter should appear on all PCs in a minute or less (depending on the refresh rate you set). That's all there is to it! Lots more details are here: https://www.n3fjp.com/help/networkinghelp.html Enjoy! 73, Scott N3FJP http://www.n3fjp.com Serving the Amateur Radio community with contesting and general logging software since 1997. 1 Peter 3 vs 15: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. I can automatically log directly to ACL on my primary computer but when I make a QSO from the other station set-up, it goes nowhere. Help. 73 Bill K3SV

My QTH is incorrect on World Map 4
Hi Scott, I know this question has been asked before, so my apologies. On the World Map, it shows my QTH to be in the middle of Nevada when I actually live and operate from Bend, Oregon. How do I correct this? Thanks, Jim W7JHR

CQ WPX Contest Software. 5
Hi Scott, This past weekend I decided to use your CQ WPX logging software instead of N1MM+. I’m strictly a search and pounce low hour contest operator. I found your software very enjoyable to use. It has all the features I need without being overly complicated. I did have one intermittent issue. Several times while I was hitting the space bar after typing a call, the fields would get wiped just as if I was hitting the escape key. I had the world map open and wondered if it was related to the map updating so I turned it off but still had the issue. This happened probably 10 times during the weekend while accumulating 275 contacts. I didn’t miss out on any log contacts because of that but it was disconcerting when it happened. I’m running the latest version of Windows 11 and was using rig control. Everything else was flawless. I’m looking forward to the next contest to try one of your other versions. All the best, Joel, KB1KBD

What am I missing? 8
Hi group, Regarding N3FJP AC Log and uploading to LOTW. I've eliminated any QSO's which were before LOTW so I would not get an error for "outside of date range" Now, when I select ALL CONTACTS NOT UPLOADED, I inevitably get a pop up box as I have attached. I'm asking the program to upload any contacts not already uploaded yet I get this popup. Someone in the group I'm sure can tell me where I am in error. Also, is it possible to take another users formatting and apply it to my logbook. I know there are guys who have customized the layout very nicely and I'm just looking for a shortcut. Thanks in advance. Alan W4ANT

LOTW "Credit Granted" 2
Has anyone figured out how to use the 'CREDIT_GRANTED' field from LOTW with ACLOG? It isn't exactly critical ... the info can be found by looking at the LOTW ADIF, or logging into LOTW website. Thanks, -Mat, N8TW

Gridqsuare Error 10
Hello Everyone, I use N3FJP ACLog on my home computer in the shack. When operating portable, I use either PoloLog or HAMRS, then export the ADIF into ACLog. However, even before using these portable logging programs, I encountered this error (screenshot attached). After a day of operating in the shack, my usual process for uploading logs is: I select the Station Location. I click "All Contacts Not Uploaded". When I do this, a window pops up saying: "Errors detected – Station location does not match QSO details." It also shows a message about the grid square. I typically hit Ignore and select "Upload New QSOs Only". Sometimes, I go back and manually fix the invalid QSO, but the next time I upload, a different QSO shows up with the same invalid grid issue. Is there a way to permanently fix this? Can it be bypassed? I’m wondering if I misconfigured the software when I first set it up over a decade ago. Thanks for the help, Charlie - WA2NWN

N3FJP Software Timing Out 2
Scott, This is a problem with my computer and not the software….I’m assuming. Just want to see if anyone else has experienced/fixed this issue. I turned on the Spotting function a while back and it works fine. I suddenly began to see that when in FT8 I would click on a call in WSJTX and N3FJP will give me an error message “operation timed out” but as soon as I click “OK” the info for the QSO correctly populates in the log. It’s just bothersome. Anyone else experience this? Again, probably some Windows thing maybe. Any help appreciated. Thanks, KN4ULT Paul

eQSL Confirmations 3
Whenever I try to download eQSL contacts, after uploading, I get the following: Unable to find the 'Your ADIF log file has been built' tag. Please be sure your user name and password are correct, that you have entered a date old enough to include at least one eQSL inbox record and try again. Download complete. Please click Done to see the updates on your main list. * I've tried waiting several days without doing any downloads, though I did uploads, so that the eQSL Inbox might have some unhandled confirmations, yet I still get the message. When I go to eQSL, the Inbox does have some QSOs to download/confirm. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I have to confirm the QSL received in the ACLog table manually. I deleted all the QSO's from that callsign and tried again. Again I got the same "line 38" has already been uploaded but it's a different callsign. When checking that callsign, I'm finding them marked as sent YES but again not confirmed by LOTW. If it makes any difference they all seem to be QSO party contacts where I have multiple contacts on the same day with the same callsign. However, they are not true duplicates as the time and county information has changeed. Alan W4ANT

ACLog to Yaesu FTDX10 radio 6
Hi folks, Issue. I have a new Yaesu FTdx10 radio. I was able to get ACLog and the radio to work in the beginning. I had to put my radio back into factory default for a radio issue. I am now not able to get ACLog to update the frequency and mode, etc. This is what I have done to troubleshoot. 1. Uninstalled and reinstalled ACLog but I don't think it was a complete deinstall because the current log files are loaded back. 2. Reinstalled the Yaesu Virtual Comport drivers 3 Enabled polling in the ACLogs Settings>Rig Interface panel. Com 3 will poll correctly when the "poll" button is pressed 4. I am able to insert a frequency and "send" it. ACLog will update but the radio will not. The radio will not update ACLog when I QSY. 5. I loaded Win4YaesuSuite which is a program where I can operate the radio from a computer screen. Everything works fine using that program so I know the radio CAT interface is working. Suggestions? inquiring minds want to know. 73, Lowell President, White House Communications Agency Amateur Radio Club

Wildcard for Search 8
I know the answer is out there but cannot find it. I want to be able to search one of the custom fields I made (JARL City/Gun number and name) and want to search by just part of the data. For example, for data = 1051 - Nakagawa, I want to be able to searchand find all QSO records that have data starting with 1051. I tried asterick (*) and $, did not work. Appreciate a solution (assuming there is one). FYI - just entered my 25,000th QSO into N3FJP last week. Awesome software. Thanks, Bob, KD6C

Frequency shift controls. 3
Hi all, Prepping for NA SSB sprint tomorrow night. I downloaded latest program version so that is good. I looked at the shortcuts list because I remember that Scott had added shortcuts to do the big frequency jumps required of all operators after your second contact on a frequency. SSB: Ctrl + Left / Right(large jump) : +-500 Hz Ctrl + Shift + Left / Right(medium jump) : +-150 Hz Ctrl + Up / Down(small jump) : +-50 Hz Ctrl + Shift + Up / Down(tiny jump) : +-10 Hz Ctrl + PgUp / PgDn (NA Sprint large jump) : +- 5000 Hz Ctrl + Shift + PgUp / PgDn (NA Sprint small jump) : +- 1000 Hz I have an Yaesu FT847 (Yaesu Old/57600/8/2/none). It propersly tracks my dial frequency and I can send frequency commands via the regular Cntrl-F command, but the above command do not work. What am I missing? 73 Tom, N5HYP
