Please note N3FJP is now working with my ICOM 7300. The baud rate on the ICOM now matches the baud rate on the N3FJP program. If WSJT or N4PY ICOM program is used N3FJP will not communicate as the COM PORT is being used. Thank you all for your input.

yes com0com is helpfull if you are trying to use the same com ports on multiple programs.? ?I used in with win4yaesu ( there is a win4icom version as well)? ?and it let me make, I think it was up to 5 or 6 extra com ports, with only 1 on the computer

If you're just having the 7300 talk to ACLog and no other program (like WSJT-X)then you won't need a virtual serial port (VSP) interface like com0com. Like Scott said, you do need the Icom driver.?

I've never gotten any version of com0com to work. I use K5FR's VSP manager and it works great. Of course with a call like that it has to! :-)

I recently participated in the LICW RandomGram Event, a small contest style event.? Nothing large enough to warrant a separate N3FJP contest program.? After reading through all the comments to date herein, is there an existing N3FJP contest program that is best suited to use as a "generic" contest program??

Hi Wilson,
Thanks for your e-mail.? Our software includes a notes feature.? To add a station to your notes list, just press?Ctrl + H (with a call in the Call field).? The call is removed automatically when you later work the station and you can click on the note to jump to the station at any time (with rig interface enabled).

N1MM+ has a feature that works as such:
- While hunting and pouncing, you either work a station or unsuccessfully try to work a station (N3FJP for example) on a specific frequency (7.210 for example).

I dug through the docs pretty extensively? but can't find anything like this..
Using RI: keys for yaesu rig but the on-screen ctrl-w f-key window looks pretty ghastly.? Could there be a way to label them like with a symbol like # sign meaning use the rest of this as a label and NOT display the junk before it?

I use Dropbox to manage file sharing between multiple PCs. This includes my log files.?This keeps my logs in one place, and backed up on the cloud.

I use this for POTA and normal operations at the home QTH.?I often switch between my own log and our club log for various events.

By default (and I can't see where this is set in the registry), the location for the logs is set here:

? ? ? ? ? C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Affirmatech\N3FJP Software\ACLog

My request is for a registry entry to save the last location of the log file and by default when you click "OPEN" it would redirect there to start.
?
I have a workaround set up for this, but would rather just point the logs in the software to the right location. My workaround is a shortcut to the Dropbox folder in the "Documents" folder that I can click to redirect when opening the other log.
?
If there's already a setting somewhere I haven't found, please let me know.

Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry you have run into trouble.? When properly configured, we've had no other problem reports with the Icom 7300.? First make sure you have properly downloaded and installed the required driver for your 7300 from Icom's web site.? Then carefully follow the steps and settings for your 7300 detailed here:
That should get you going, but if you continue to have trouble, please paste a screen shot of your settings into your e-mail reply, along with any error messages that you are receiving.

I may have found the problem. I had two ac log programs running at the same time. I deleted the dupes and am no longer getting any error messages.?
