Hi Brian,

I'm unable to duplicate what you have there.? How were you able to get your label heights higher than your text box heights (or change them from default at all for that matter)?

Hi All,

Thanks Scott, Mike and Jeff for your inputs.

I can only hear it ansd see it when I press PPT or foot pedal, and do not talk.

Changing the baud rate and or the polling rate has no effect on the "blip".
I tried all combinations of both.

I'm getting the same results with both the Heil iCM and Heil ProSet Plus mics.,
using the PPT or foot pedal.

Changing either the RF power level, mic Gain, or Receive ATT has no effect.
Receive volume does increase the output audio in the headset.

I'm using the same LCU-3-I-USB cable (USB on computer end, .5mm at rig end ) that I used on the IC7600, and I did download the latest software version.?

Using USB Com Port 3 on Win 11 computer, to 3.5mm CI-V Remote jack on IC7610. The same set up I used with the IC7600.

One "good" observation is that it does not show , nor can I hear any "blip" in AM or FM mode, Only on USB and LSB ???

Still baffled and open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Jim? W1WIU

I've designed a custom layout for my POTA days.

The design work was done with display settings at 100% scaling and 1920x1080 resolution. The form was full screen.

The first row of labels and entry fields are fine, but the second row has problems (see screen shot). For lack of a better
description, the entry fields are "squooshed", i.e., too short and so all the text is not visible.

I've tried moving the fields up/down, thinking that they were overlapping with the unshown "comments" entry field
below. Looking at the efl file, there doesn't appear to be a way to set the height of the fields (I can understand
why).

Any suggestions for unsquooshing that second row?

Is there a setting for having N3FJP software (any of the contests and AC LOG) to send band data to an antenna switch for automatic control? The WA4MCM switches use UDP packets sent form software programs to determine which antenna is selected. Is this possible with the software packages?? It only needs to send the data, not receive.

Re: Appearance of entry boxes

Hi Mike,

Thanks for chiming in and the reminder.? Yes, that is another option.? With AC Log closed, open the efl file with a text editor and edit the locations to your preference.

Enjoy!

I once had an issue like you are seeing, a separation or “gap” between the entry field LABEL and the entry field TEXT-BOX.? Scott replied and told me to go into one of the SETTINGS.ELF files and edit a number that set the screen component location.

It was easy to do.? Unfortunately, I do not remember it in my head….. and I can’t find that message with how to do it.? But it can be done.

Larry,?

I don't believe that is the solution to this problem. Look at the screen shot and you will see a rather large gap between the green 'County' box and the white dropdown box beneath it, where the county name goes.? Then the 'Grid' box has no space between the green and white box. And a smaller gap between the 'State' box and the white box.?

Tab order makes no difference in what I am describing.?

Re: Clicks when using ACLog

I would recommend changing the baud rate down to 4800 or 9600 and set the polling rate to 1 second and see what happens.? With the small amount of data that is transfered for each poll.there really isn't a need for those faster baud rates.? In my experience, especially with the USB to Serial converters, when using 8 bits, no parity and 1 stop bit, and no handshaking, baud rates above 9600 can become problematic though those converter drivers.?

Hi All,

I have?a 7610 here myself and can't hear anything like what Jim describes.? Our software just sends the poll rig command to Windows, which routes it to the selected com port and then listens for a response.??

?I am by?no?means?a?hardware guy, so I really don't have?any insights on why that?would be occurring.??If anyone has any insights into Jim's question I would be grateful for your reply.

Thanks in advance!

I just upgrade from an IC 7600 to an IC7610. Using the same LCU3-I-USB cable, Win 11, and downloaded the latest driver software.
I just noticed that I can hear a click and see a "blip" on the Spectrum Scope when I hit the PPT in SSB mode that is in sync with the polling rate. If I change the rate, the blip also changes. This only happens in SSB.
The audio blip is the same at 1 watt and 100 watts.? The blip on the Spectrum scope also does not increase as power goes up.
I'm polling at 19.2 and .500 sec.?
Any ideas as to cause ???
