Re: Ever Seen This?
Hi Paul, Thanks for your e-mail.? I don't have any insights on what you describe specifically, but the only relevant setting in AC Log is to enable the API.? Once enabled, all the subsequent behaviors are controlled by any settings that you have set in the connected program, not AC Log. Perhaps someone else will have more specific ideas for you. Re: com0com
Only one can use a port at a time.? Com0Com creates virtual port pairs, for example #40 & #41.? Each program would need to use the second port in the pair.? The second one sends to the first one which is what Com0Com sees and sends to the control program.
?
Here's how mine is setup
?
Radio physically connected to the computer running 101Cats (control program for FTDX101).?? 101Cats is designed to work with virtual port programs (like Win4Yaesu or Win4Icom is).? Com0Com created six virutal port pairs for me.? I can run WSJT, FLDigi, Winlink, JS8Call and others at the same time.? Each program is configured for its own virtual port, so there is no "port in use" conflict.
?
Hope that makes sense,
Ryan

Re: Force "Carry OTHER data forward" ?
Hi Bob, Thanks for your e-mail.? AC Log's behavior is entirely contingent on the connected program, but depending on how the connected program. is configured, it may be possible now, or you could ask the developers to modify their software.? Many of the behaviors you are used to seeing when logging manually and tabbing from the Call field also occur when the CALLTAB event is called in our API.? I understand some connected programs do (maybe optionally) overwrite the data after it is called, so even if they do call the CALLTAB event, it is important that they aren't clearing any fields you wish to keep. Complete specifications on our API are here: Thanks so much for your kind words on the software! That's perfectly understandable since that software has no awareness of those fields. and can't be expected to duplicate them.

Is there a setting or workaround, other than Bulk Edit that can perform that action.

Be aware that "No" is an acceptable answer. ACLog is fabulous regardless.
Thanks!

To my understanding there isn't a N3FJP contest program directly suited as a Generic contest program. But, what you could do is use the main N3FJP ACLog program, and adjust the contact input window fields to your preferred input order in "Settings" > "Edit Fields Displayed, Positions and Tab Order" > "Customize Your Configuration" > and save it as a Generic configuration, OR "Load a Saved Configuration" that you have previously adjusted. Please note N3FJP is now working with my ICOM 7300. The baud rate on the ICOM now matches the baud rate on the N3FJP program.
