Wayne, attached is the top of my DX Spotting window.? In the top right corner, you designate the size of your Spot window.? As you can see, I’ve chosen 20% and that provides me with 10 DX stations without having to scroll which suits my needs.

?

?

I think your form size is okay but you need to go into Settings, Appearance, and select Form Size (I use 100%) as well as Font size (dependent upon screen size).? To do this you need to disable the DX spotting window.? When you complete resetting your windows, you will need to re-select “Enable DX Spotting”.? You may need to jockey with these settings until you get it just the way you want it.? All in all, it’s simply a matter of getting the appropriate settings to suit your needs which the software provides.

?

Fee free to contact me directly with any further questions.? Glad to help out when I can.

Hi All,

I like N3FJP OK but it seems the DX spotter never works well.

I set it up like instructed, however the spots do not show up often.

Also the sizing is all wrong for me, the general log is small and the DX spot window is small.

Attached is a snip of what I see.

THanks for your time in this matter.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your e-mail.? We don't currently support the brand new FT Challenge contest.? We were not even notified of this new contest until 3 weeks before it's inaugural running.? If the contest sponsors would have been willing to not require SNR (RST), or make SNR an optional part of the exchange, folks could have still used the normal WSJT-X settings (no special operating activity selection required) to participate in their new contest and we could have accommodated the contest in the WW Digi DX module with light modification, but they haven't indicated a willingness to do that.

Re: Club use of my personal registration for an event?

Hi?bhfg123,

Thanks for your e-mail.? It is fine to use one of your registered copies of AC Log for your club's POTA activity, with the understanding that registration information will not be shared with other users.

If you have additional questions, please e-mail Kimberly directly (not via the users group) with your call sign, so she can help you with your club's registration status.

Enjoy!

Really…… considering the cost of a stand-alone copy of AC-Log being as cheap as it is, just pay Scott for his hard work and get the club a copy.? Heck, for less than the price of a night out the club can have lifetime access to everything Scott has made or will make in the future.? So if the club decides to do Field Day, or Winter Field Day, or any other contest there won’t be any question about it.

That’s JMHO……..

Ken,
?
Have you gone back to try the CQ WW contest logger to make sure it still works correctly?
?
If it doesn't work now, you've likely had a COM Port change on your PC.
?
If it does still work, make sure all the parameters are the same between CQ WW logger and ACLog.

Good Luck!

Hi Tom,

Re: Still no luck re: Rig interface stopped working on my Yaesu FT-710 #aclog

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your follow up.? I'm sorry that you are still having trouble.? Since you've not made any changes to the software settings and you are suddenly experiencing the same problem with multiple programs that previously worked properly, we can be sure that something external to the software is at play.?

I won't relist all the suggestions I and others have already provided again now as they are accessible in your prior thread.? I encourage you to check them all again, especially driver reinstallation, com port reassignment, seating of cables, etc.??

If none of those help, the only other thing I can think of is resetting your rig to factory default, but I have no familiarity on Yaesu equipment, so I don't have any specific insights to offer there.

You also mentioned having new problems with other unrelated applications, so there may be a problem with your PC / OS.? It would be worth trying another computer to eliminate that as a possibility.

I'm sorry all the suggestions we provided didn't resolve whatever may be going on there.? Good luck with your troubleshooting.

Re: Problems

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for your e-mail.? The type and quantity of DX Spots received is controlled by:

- Filtering in AC Log.? Click more filtering on the DX Spotting setup form to clear any filters you may have set.

-? Filtering? you have set on the DX Spotting site.? You can modify those filters per telnet site instructions for the site you are using.

-? The DX Spotting site you select.

To display more spots at the bottom of the form, click Settings > DX Spotting and increase the Size on Form percentage at the upper right.? You may also wish to display the band map, which is my go to source for DX Spots.? Those details are here:
