For a shared log, you must make one of the workstations share its log directory, and the other ones must open that log file via the network share (or use the new TCP mode).

Scott, for the time being I¡¯m going to use number 1 . I¡¯m just going to disable rig control when I¡¯m not working ft8. Anybody out there can give some feedback/ suggestions on the virtual com port splitter for the ftdx101mp I would sure appreciate it. In reference to Alek¡¯s response: downloaded two ports from yaesu software/ com 4 which is the main one ( one I¡¯m using ) and com 5.?

Yes, understood. My original question related to the difference
between the 7300 and the 7610.
The 7610 allows CW keying and rig control on two com ports but
over ONE usb cable.
The 7300 you need the USB cable as well as the remote (1/8" TRS)
cable.
And, as I said...I think the 705 works like the 7610 also.

As you are manipulating your files, be super careful to preserve your original files someplace safe. N3FJP automatically saves the current version upon exit, so it is very easy to lose the original (ask me how I know...).
