Andre...I watched a K0PIR you tube video on setting up the
virtual com port.
I might give it a whirl, but I have the TRS to USB cable, and it
is plug 'n play, so that
is what I set up for the tail end of my K2I activation recently.

Regardless, did you try the virtual com port software I linked? I
use it for RTTY off one cable and it works fine.
