Re: Forum closing
I prefer the email forums too. I don't think I've even ever visited the machsupport forums. It's really all about costs unfortunately.
I paid $110US to get one year of larger disk space on the groups.io forum for E-Leadscrew. At the end of the year if disk storage is below a certain amount I can drop it back down the free version. Some of the group members have been kind enough to donate small amounts to this one year subscription so it's turning out not to be as painful. We'll be moving this weekend. I'll post how easy or difficult it was when it's done. John Dammeyer From: mach1mach2cnc@... [mailto:mach1mach2cnc@...] Sent: October-18-19 5:48 AM To: mach1mach2cnc@... Yahoo groups are closing on December 14th 2019
Hi All:
?( I sent this earlier but it didnt show up so Ill repeat it) ?The group will be closing shortly. All the data has been archived and will be transferred to Brian's stewardship. He will make as much of it as possible viewable on his support site at www.machsupport.com. It was toyed with the idea of transferring the group to groups.io or other platform but in the end it would simply duplicate what Brian already has going at machsupport. ? Should anyone end up with a question only I can answer, you can always jump over to gearotics forum and post it there, I answer anything I see pop up that I have knowledge on. ? This is a long running group, since about 2003 I think. Its been a pleasure being the moderator for that time and Im saddened by its loss. I want to thank all of you that have been here so long and everyone who helped me with mach3's development, which is a great many on this list. ?Ive met some of my favorite people right here. ? Good bye, so long, farewell. Art |

开云体育Dan ? You can always right click on the MC icon and click on the security tab and change to Administrator there. Just click on your name ?and it should bring up a Permissions for (your name) and just click on the FULL CONTROL checkbox. That should check all the boxes. Re: Mach3 Mill video problems with 1024.set
Why not just set yourself up with administrator privileges. I can run MACH3 on WIN-7 without any issues but I'm also the administrator.

That is a Windows setting not firewall!

Re: Yahoo groups are closing on December 14th 2019
What's changed is that groups.io now wants a 1 year subscription ($110US) to be able to transfer a group. After that if the storage requirements are low enough one can drop back down to the free version.

Re: Yahoo groups are closing on December 14th 2019
Hi All:
?Just noticed this thread. I checked with yahoo and the group is not deleted , but instead switches to a private group with no posting.? This group has been running since around 2003, so there's a pretty large database I would think. I have applied to Yahoo for a download pack of the data, though I'm not sure what format or size that would be. I have no idea what Ill do with the data as yet. ?? If the data can be released in some downloadable form so that PG Online users could download the database from Brians site for example, it may appear in that form. Ill let you know if any information is available as to format or location. Art -- thx Art www.gearotic.com |

Hmm, Wikipedia says while the closing down date (aka major function reduction)?is 14th December, you won't be able to add new content after 21st October:? That's, like, only a week, dudes.? Uh wot? I wonder if 'new content' includes messages, like this one? Tony

Re: Yahoo groups are closing on December 14th 2019
Someone at Yahoo must have noticed the servers were still running. Off to 开云体育 then like many of the other groups (eg 7x12 MiniLathe)? Once upon a time there was eGroups.? eGroups was sold to Yahoo for quite a bit of cash becoming?Yahoo Groups.? The dude who started (& sold) eGroups got bored a while back, and so started up 开云体育, which was considered a good thing given how flaky Yahoo Groups was becoming (even without the Neo refresh).? Around and around we go... Tony
