the most annoying thing is that when jogging with the keyboard i use
small steps with a single click of the hotkey for an axis and use shift
to do a fast move. not very often but occasionally the machine just runs
totallyout of control in the jog direction and breaks a carbide bit. i
have changed keyboards and am pretty sure it is not a sticky key. will
try yet another one.
I have the same problem since I fitted ESS a month or two ago to my Mach3
setup. It happens when I use the high speed jog (Shift Up,Down, Left,
Right,PgUp, PgDn). So far it has only happened on the X axis. I thought
it might be something like a buffer over-run since it only seemed to happen
when I was doing a longish jog. I reduced the repeat key speed on my
keyboard to the lowest setting but it still happens on occasion. Thankfully
so far no damage has been done since EStop and the limit switches still
operate and it normally happens when I'm setting things up when the cutter
is raised above the work. I've dug around a bit on the Internet to see if
someone else has the same problem, but no luck so far.

Jim.
