Re: Messaging / Data
Appendix H in the spec defines KISS parameters and use in M17, which would give anyone interested in developing a TNC or program for M17 data a huge start.

Re: M17 (Wide Area) repeaters?
If the MMDVM firmware is version 1.6.0 or greater, I can guarantee it will work on a Bridgecom repeater. I have one at the lab that works flawlessly.

Re: M17 (Wide Area) repeaters?
Hi Steve,
Bridgecom sells an MMDVM upgrade for their repeaters that looks to be based on the same Repeaterbuilder MMDVM board I have been experimenting with. I can't confirm M17 runs on it, *yet* but

A primary reason that I consider M17 now viable is that it¡¯s possible to
build a repeater for use by M17.
I first realized that from this mention of building an MMDVM repeater,

I hope these get off the ground.? Unfortunately, exchange rate makes
them rather expensive here, but if I get a windfall, I'll add one to my
list of (future) devices.
