Re: Firmware 1.15 #firmware
Hi All! I have an unusual situation and was wondering if someone could provide me with the latest firmware update, or alternate site for the updates, until I can resolve my inability to get to the

Re: Loose AF Gain & RIT Knobs
A small piece of double-sided sticky tape on the end of the encoder shaft. Oddly enough that was what was on mine when I got it so seems like a factory fit solution. Tape was not very sticky so used

Re: Fuse burnt and TX-500... mute.
I had the same problem about a year ago. The main board had to be replaced. The U.S.A. service office worked with the head office to isolate the responsible part but it was easier to replace the whole

Re: Fuse burnt and TX-500... mute.
Hi Jo, Mine did exactly the same last summer. Two diodes inside had fried upon inspection by the UK Lab599 workshop. They said it was most likely caused by a reverse polarity over-current/voltage. I

14.4 v? I know the radio is rated at 15 volts maximum, but that is getting close. And where are you getting that voltage reading from?

Re: Fuse burnt and TX-500... mute.
I was tuning the transceiver to the working frequency. I wasn't on the show. I only use CW mode so no data link plugged in. The power supply was a little high in voltage (14.4V displayed on the TX)

Re: Fuse burnt and TX-500... mute.
We need more info. What what are you doing with the radio when the first fuse blew? What mode were you using and did you have a data cable attached at the time, and if so what were you using it for?

Fuse burnt and TX-500... mute.
Hello the group. I am very worried. MyTX-500 turned itself off: 3A fuse burnt. I replaced it but the fuse blows every time as soon as I connect the DC connector and without switching on the

Re: Loose AF Gain & RIT Knobs
Pete, Thanks for your response. ?Some good ideas there. ?I really like the idea of putting a little bit of dielectric grease in the recesses under the knobs as added security against moisture.

Mike, I pulled mine off so I could use some deoxit to clean up after salt water spray, and then put dielectric grease into the recess in the body to prevent any future pooling of water there. When I
