I had the same problem about a year ago. The main board had to be replaced. The U.S.A. service office worked with the head office to isolate the responsible part but it was easier to replace the whole board I think.
Unfortunately, there isn¡¯t much that is user serviceable in the TX-500. The customer service from Lab599 is excellent though and should take care of you so long as parts are available.?

Hello the group.
I am very worried.
MyTX-500 turned itself off: 3A fuse burnt.
I replaced it but the fuse blows every time as soon as I connect the DC connector and without switching on the transceiver.
Has anyone ever had the problem?
Is this serious doctor ? 73
