I will try to do it again during the coming weekend. VNC Viewer is no longer a 'thing', it has been replaced by 'Raspberry Pi Connect'. The whole thing might be a dodgy card although I have never had any trouble in the past with SanDisk. I will try another card and that may be a solution. Thanks for your help.

Hey Jeremy, I used the signalink with the 2980. The signalink has VOX built in and handles the PTT in my setup. I don't necessarily recommend the signalink but it was what I had on hand when I built mine. You should be able to use the digirig and define the PTT in the direwolf.conf file for packet work. This would skip rigctl all together. The PTT line in direwolf would be:
PTT /dev/ttyUSB? RTS

The "?" will be the number assigned to your digirig. To find exactly where the digirig attached, run:
ls -l /dev/serial/by-id
?
The best place for config help with the setup is the BPQ forum. /g/bpq32/topics Those guys are the masters of the BPQ config file. I only know enough to be dangerous :-)

I’ve set up the bpq.cfg file per KM4ACK’s video – “How to set up a Winlink Gateway on a Pi.”? I’m getting a Telnet error.? Not sure what port it should be set on.? He doesn’t mention it in the video and it auto populates.? I think it might be conflicting with port setting in PAT config settings? ? I just set up Winlink Packet, packet settings as I’m trying to expand my capabilities as a Winlink SysOp.? I chose Direwolf as my software TNC.? Would you happen to know the Direwolf settings for a IC-2100 type radio using a Digirig?? Radio goes straight into transmit but won’t unkey.? So something is triggering PTT within Direwolf.? Ok. You're using the Mic and Speaker. You have some audio adjusting to do. Playback is TX Run squelch open. Adjust the playback so it's not overdriving the radio.? Have you loaded Direwolf?? My rig won't work with FLrig
Jason, how do you work linBPQ for a Winlink gateway when the IC-2100 doesn't work with FLrig.? I bring up PAT, winlink packet modem, and it prompts me to setup FLrig. You showed a radio FT-2890 using a signal link in the beginning of your video. That works off of VOX.?

Cant get 73 Linux to run
I bought one of the WOWE mini computers like Jason has the video. I did everything git hub to KM4ACK, copied the install commands and even went back and installed git. It all finished and just set there nothing came up for me to enter my call sign. I came out of terminal mode and just have a Linux Mint screen no evidence of 73Linux ever touching it. What now??

开云体育Not related to Linux but had similar problem the last few days with Windows and WSJT-X.? I was only getting half to a 1/3 audio out as noted on older sound control panel.? This leads me to believe that there is a problem with the audio exiting the RPI headed to the digirig. I had TX power once briefly when tuning.? ? I have opened alsamixer and turned off any muting I can find and turned the gain down to zero to boost the levels. ? Something is missing though...? |
