Re: Xastir and the internet
You probably should have only 1 igate and digipeater running at a time so pick out which one you want. If you want a GUI, then pick Xastir or YACC (YACC is much better than Xastir IMHO). If you want

Re: Rigctld no worky
I deleted the 4.5.4-1 libraries that show under load software in the repository. Packet worked a few times. Couldn¡¯t get VARA to work so ran 73 Linux update 4.6 and now neither packet or VARA

Re: Botspot Windows 11 on Pi
Denis, the ¡°exit on transmit¡± problem seems suspiciously like RFI. That would be something to look into. Yesterday, I also installed the BVM on a spare Pi 4 with 8 GB RAM, running Bookworm over

Re: pi4/5 power supply
The Raspberry Pi 5 normally requires USB-C Power Delivery protocol ( *PD* ) to operate. The PD spec only requires 3A at 5 volts, but the RPi5 bends the rules, and requests 5A at 5.2V from the PD

Re: Botspot Windows 11 on Pi
I installed bvm on a 8GB PI5 and had good luck. Running VARA on WINE will exit on transmit on the PI OS. VARA runs great on bvm. I also tried APRSIS32 and Winlink, they work great. Need to do more

Re: Botspot Windows 11 on Pi
I just did some testing with the BVM. It is not bad at all. It does run decently. A couple of issues * I normally use xrdp to remote into my Pi's. ?I found it more stable than VNC, but with BVM

Botspot Windows 11 on Pi
I just discovered this effort: https://github.com/Botspot/bvm If this works, it could be a great way to avoid the Wine headaches on ARM architectures like the Pi, allowing use of Vara, Winlink

Noticed a difference in TCP port number between LM and 73 Linux Pi build.? Do you fix Rigctl in Direwolf? Perhaps an incorrect port setting in FLrig?? KM6QAQ 73 Sent from AOL on Android

Re: Rigctld no worky
Problem got better - when starting packet modem RIGCTL flashed green then went red. Still don't read frequency from radio. FLrig was turned on and is working. KM6QAQ 73 Sent from AOL on Android

Re: Rigctld no worky
Jason, I'm curious what you mean by the term REPO.? I did a format on my sd card, 64 bit debian build with Bookworm, and fresh 73 Linux install.? WINE doesn't install unless you do it under Pi
