Re: VPN

Anything that uses OpenVPN can be done fairly easily. Don't know anything about that one you mentioned.

Re: Trouble with EFHW kit #efhw

I think I have found the error in my winding. I will attempt a correction - if I can remove the hot glue ;-). For my information, about how long is the wire that comes with the kit? Thanks again for a very nice kit.
Phil, K3UT
The kit ships with ~68' of wire.

Re: IC-705 RPI4 Bullseye JS8Call #IC-705

make sure the rig is on and then reboot the Pi and see if that clears the issue. I have ran into this issue occasionally before if I boot the Pi before turning on the radio.

Did you set rig control to "on" in Pat Menu Settings?

Did you load Pat Menu with Build a Pi or is this a custom/manual build?

Pat Winlink VFO issues

2022-02-14-155821_1920x1080_scrot.jpg

I had to use scrot to create a screen cap and use Pat Winlink to send it to my email address so you can see what the issues are.

I have Digirig?running with flrig (VFO) and JS8CALL etc for sound. I have been banging my head on the desk to get Winlink to work. Windows I have no issues. Linux GGgrrr

This is the info I was looking for. Getting Pat Winlink to PTT using my Xiegu G 90. I have no issues with JS8CALL etc.

Hardware Carture

After configuring the Pat Menu with appropriate card and device number from arecord -l, I can perform "reboot" numerous times and the card and device numbers remain constant, and Pat Winlink works great.? However, if I perform a hard reboot (power down and repower the RPi) the card and device number frequently change, so I need to reconfigure the config file.? Is there a fix for this issue? (other than never unplugging the Pi?)?
Thank you

Re: Custom forms in flmsg unreachable in browser.

I see this happen too. It seems to come and go randomly. I¡¯ve been meaning to test with a different browser to see if it is a chrome issue. I¡¯ve just got in the habit of clicking the x on refresh when the form loads. That will stop chrome from trying to load it again.?

Not a complete answer but it might help in the meantime.

Hi folks,
I'm having an issue with the Red Cross custom forms with in FLMSG.? You open them with the "Edit Form" button.? It opens the form in the browser opens, but after a few seconds it crashes in the browser and it says the site is unreachable.? It seems like it having trouble connecting to after the initial connection.

Multiple builds, multiple RPI.

Any ideas?

Re: Trouble with EFHW kit #efhw

I would think that you did make an error in winding. Mine was better then 1.5:1 on 40,20,15,10 AND 12 meters. 12 was a pleasant surprise. It¡¯s a great kit and works perfectly with the SOTABEAMS Traveler mast in an inverted V.?

Using WebRTC on pi 4 with windows voip (IC7300)

I am trying to set up WebRTC or similar to communicate voice (I have FT8, WSJTX, and JSCALL working) over IP.? I have a pi set up running for my IC 7300 that I would like to remotely key VOICE using IP.? Has anyone here in this group got this going.? I'm trying not to have to have to purchase/use RSBA software. I can ssh, forward X11, and vnc the pi.? Anyone?

Your best bet is the check with the developer of FLMSG /g/linuxham/topics
I haven't used FLMSG in a LONG time.

Re: IC-705 RPI4 Bullseye JS8Call #IC-705

It doesn't seem as though the Pi is "seeing" the sound card in the 705. What do you get if you run:
arecord -l

Have you seen the digirig sound card? It relatively inexpensive and works surprisingly well with a Baofeng.

Re: User guide to start-up #ardop #pat-mail #direwolf

I have no experience with the 8800 but PTT may be the issue. Which sound card are you using? If it's the Signalink, then the Signalink will handle the PTT for you as it has a built in VOX circuit.

For the 7300, you probably need to configure ARDOP PTT in the Pat conf file. Did you use Build a Pi for this build? If so, you can use Pat Menu to enable PTT for ARDOP. It is under Manage Pat Winlink->Set ARDOP PTT
