Try getting direwolf working first alone (volume set correctly normally around 80%) on aprs, or just check volume and try again need to blast the packets out full throttle no distortion. got another

Re: I am trying to get PAT working with AX-25 - with a Yaesu 857 and a Digirig - radio doesn't key when transmitting.
After plugging in your Digirig, run: ls -l /dev/serial/by-id At the end of the line you will see something like ../../ttyUSB0 Armed with that info, change the PTT line in Direwolf to be: PTT

Re: Trouble with Build a PI 4
Get it as far away from the Pi as possible due to RF noise..use the black rather than blue colored USB connections on the back of the Pi. The Blue 3.0 ports make a lot more noise than the 2.0 ones.

Re: Trouble with Build a PI 4
Isn't GPS satellite lock done by the hardware, not the software loaded onto the RPi? Have you tried relocating the hardware to someplace with a clear view of the sky? Ken, N2VIP
