I also have the Dockerpi that Jason recommended. No rfi, super quiet fan and my pi runs several degrees C cooler

I use these things which are called UBEC's by the radio control people, for some reason. They're very quiet. The circuit board is completely shielded, and the output has a toroid already installed.

Steve, i'm not sure, but what you may be seeing is the default time setting for the Hotspot to "check" status of available Wifi SSIDs it is aware of.? I'm just guessing here.? If you haven't already

Hotspot seems to restart every 5 minutes
I am running headless with Build-a-Pi.? Everything is working fine except the Hotspot seems to restart every 5 minutes.? I've looked for the Hotspot signal using several different devices.
